Textiles and Design develops a knowledge of fibres, yarns and fabrics along with an exploration of design and the design process to excite the imagination of the student who loves to create with textiles.The course is designed to develop confidence and competence in the selection, design and manufacture of a wide range of textiles items.
Each student is given the opportunity to express individuality whillst observing the development of his or her own practical skills.
Classwork is designed to develop skills of analysis and evaluation which, in turn, develop the skills students need to become discriminating individuals and consumers.
