Crossroads
Crossroads is a mandatory personal development and health education course for Years 11 and 12 students in NSW government schools. The course provides an opportunity for Stage 6 students to extend and build on the outcomes achieved in Personal Development Health and Physical Education from Years 7 to 10.

The Crossroads course aims to help prepare senior students to lead, and contribute to, lives which are healthy and promote social justice.

The course is divided into two focus areas: Working at relationships and Drug issues. Each focus area is organised into four themes as shown below.

Assessment requirements
There is no formal assessment or examination for this course.



Time requirements for the course
The Crossroads course will be implemented for a minimum indicative time of 25 hours. This can be completed in Year 11 or 12 or both.

Crossroads is a requirement of the Department of Education and training. It is not a Board of Studies course. Hence, it does not form a component of the HSC requirement.
