Power learning: a student's guide to success, by Gwen Gawith. The author encourages students to to identify their own learning styles and find out how they work best. An empowering book.

Superstudy: a New Age study guide, by John Wade. Approaches successful study by way of changing attitudes and developing personal goals. Incorporates lots of activities including relaxation techniques and affirmations.

How to study better and pass exams confidently, by Peter O'Meara. A book that has been around for decades and helped generations of students. Absolutely sensible, absolutely basic.

You can do it. A kit comprising two videotapes and a booklet for use by students. Particularly good if you are having trouble getting motivated.

Achieving school success without stress, by M. Bernard. (Audiocassette, 45m.) Techniques for helping you to get organised, improve your motivation and gain more confidence.

Essay strategies for the H.S.C. Covers essay writing in different subjects including English, History, Economics, geography and Legal Studies. Brief and to the point.

Essay writing techniques in English studies. (Video, 26m) For years 10-12. Introduces students to basic techniques and shows senior students tackling various types of English essays. Should also help students with essays in other subject areas.

An easy guide to meditation, by Trudie Moore. (Audiocassette). Leads the listener step-by-step through a breathing technique, and then into meditation. Side 2 is a meditation using colours.
