When planning this essay response do the following:

  1. Refer to the essay for ex.11 on page 59 of Part 4 of Tutankhamun's Tomb.
  2. Note the definition of "Describe": provide characteristics and features.
  3. Revise Part 4 of Tutankhamun's Tomb, pages 4-54
  4. Draw-up a list of points for the life and death of Tutankhamun
  5. For each point include evidence you would use to prove it
  6. Use what you have written for 3,4,and 5 (above) to fill-in the scaffold.
  7. With this scaffold as a guide, and using the relevant information and evidence you have collected, write tour essay response (3-4 A4 pages) to this question.

Here is a sample Introduction for this essay (which indicates the range of points you could include in your "Description"):

The enormous treasure excavated from Tutankhamun's Tomb tells us a lot about the luxurious lifestyle of New Kingdom Egyptian royalty, but virtually nothing about Tutankhamun himself. So archaeologists make educated guesses about the particular lifestyle, life and death of Tutankhamun. This is arrived at from archaeological material found in his tomb, from inscriptions found on goods, statues and walls in the temple of Amun, and from written and archaeological evidence from the reigns of Amenhotep the third and Akhenaten.
