Imagine waking up one morning with absolutely no idea of anything that has happened in your life before that day.
You would feel very uncertain and confused, wouldn't you? Not knowing any History can make you feel a little bit like that too, when you look at the world around you today.
How did some situations ever come about?
Why do some people care so much?
When we know what has happened in the past, it is so much easier to understand the present. History helps.
The History staff at Sydney Distance Education High School are committed to the study of History, convinced of its usefulness and aware that it is also the foundation for a lifetime of leisure activities. They enjoy their work.
